On occasion you have many of the necessary elements needed to come up with a terrific shot, this night was one of them!

What is really amazing to me is that when you look at the image you could almost invert it and not be able to tell which is the actual house and which is reflection…

So this, as many of the past few weeks have been, was an extraordinarily busy week by Feb standards… What I love about weeks like this is that l get to see some amazing homes, exercise my creative fortitude and best of all, share with the world.

So I just left this shoot and needed to share it… This place looked amazing; see for yourself.

I love shots that make you think out side of the box.. In this shot there were four strobes used to light the scene.. I can’t emphasize enough the need for lighting your interiors to create that warm inviting feel as demonstrated below!

Strobe 1 – Over camera left to blend in with the light streaming in from the windows in the foreground scene.
Strobe 2 – In media room bounced directly into the white screen creating the illusion that there is a movie on. It says come on in and grab a seat.
Strobe 3 – Bounced directly off the wall behind the chair with the red blanket draped over it to make the color “POP”.
Strobe 4 - in the far game room to emphasize the look and feel of that warm soft light streaming in from the wall of windows in that room… Kinda makes you want to pull up a seat doesn’t it!

Here is the room with the banks of windows to my left – This shot I used one strobe to support the natural lighting and a second strobe in the far room to help draw the eye through the scene. Works doesn’t it?!! Lights are amazing!

Master Bedroom – Not that interesting by master bedroom standards but I liked it so I included it!

You can’t fake lighting your interiors – if your architectural photographer doesn’t use them, demand it!
